Wensleydale Railway
A journey to one of our station destinations offers you many choices for an interesting day out. You are welcome to bring your bike on the train and your dog is welcome to travel with you too.
Services are operated by two historic diesel multiple units, a Class 107 and a Class 110. These trains are popular on scenic rural lines thanks to their large windows and the excellent views from the front and rear.
Lovely woodland around Constable Burton serves as the backdrop for bird and animal wildlife, especially pheasants and quite often passengers also see wild deer beside the line. As the train glides through the Dales countryside look out for pretty villages nestling in sheltered spots as well as remote farms high on the hillside.
A very special way to see and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales Countryside. Our stations serve Leeming Bar, Bedale, Finghall, Leyburn, and Redmire.
Whichever station you travel from to your chosen destination, you will enjoy scenery whose appearance changes colour through the season as field crops grow and are harvested and tree prepare for the autumn leaf-fall.
Car parking at Leeming Bar, Bedale and Redmire, limited parking at Leyburn station. No parking at Finghall.
