Sykes House, Askrigg, Leyburn

Grade 11 Listed - 500 years old! Beams and olde worlde charm!

A very warm Yorkshire welcome awaits you at Sykes House Bed & Breakfast. Situated in one of Askrigg's oldest buildings, right in the heart of the village, opposite the 15th Century parish church of St Oswald's.

Sykes House, thought to have been built in the 1500's, has a fascinating history and retains many of its original features including stone spiral staircase, exposed beams and fireplaces. Our two guest's rooms are large, comfortable and beautifully appointed, both with luxury en-suite facilities and all the comfort of home you would expect.

Askrigg itself is a wonderful village found in Upper Wensleydale, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It has three pubs, 2 tearooms, a deli, Country Store and a florist and makes an ideal base to explore the Dales either cycling, walking or driving. With such a relaxing feel and a steady pace of life you'll find yourself unwinding in no time.

We have 2 beautiful warm and comfortable rooms both of which include:

Ensuite (Room 1 has a shower room - Room 2 has bath and shower over) Fluffy white towels

Colour TV
Coffee/tea making facilities
Clock radio
Shaver Point
Hair dryer

There is plenty of parking on-road or on the cobbles opposite, outside the church.
